Her house is decorated with banana leaves and mango leaves toran and one of her attendents carries a Mangal-Kalash. Ma Durga is followed by her elder son, Kartikeya, who flies on his vahana peacock and by Ma Saraswati and Ma Lakshmi. The man carrying a trident is Nandi who has been sent by Shiva ji to accompany them till they all reach home.
