This is a digital print poster of Mother Goddess Chinnamasta (the one whose head is severed), who is the third of the ten mahavidyas in Hindu tantra tradition. She is the ferocious form of Ma Parvati. This form of hers is highly esoteric and symbolic.Ma Chhinamasta is typically depicted as red hued

Iconography: Goddess Chinnamasta's form is an important indication to a devotee for introverted sadhana (worship). Her severed head symbolizes cutting of maya, physical attachment, false notions, ignorance, and egoism which are obstacles in attaining supreme knowledge or moksha state. The fact that she is alive even after severing her own head represents awakening of the Kundalini. The directions are her clothes, for no ordinary fabric prepared by mortals is capable enough to encloth her. The three blood streams represent the Ida, Pingala and the Sushumana Nadis of the Kundalini. Her color is red and she stands over the Rati and Kamadeva, which represents that her worship grants her devotee the ability to control baser desires and control the senses, thereby helping him/her out of the cycle of sansara (birth, death, rebirth).
