Style: Antique Indian religious miniature painting. There is a softness associated with it, typical of old art and dots which are due to the original artwork being a handmade painting. The original art has been restored and printed digitally. This digital print is a modern print and not a vintage print.

Iconography : Bhagwan Shiva and Parvati are in sitting Ardhanarishvara form. The union of male and female for symbolizes the one-ness of Purush (passive force) and Prakriti (active force). Without either, creation of the universe cannot occur. It also symbolizes the dual nature of God i.e. God is both male and female, both father and mother, both gentle and destructive and both active and passive.

This is a reprint of vintage lithograph and NOT the original lithograph.
